There he was making his way across the pasture with ease and a swiftness that took note of the immense danger lurking above. The goal . . . to reach the brush line along the fence of the neighbors pasture. His stealth like movements gave notice that he had crossed this way many times before and knew the dangers of a chance encounter with a predator.
He was prepared . . . his tail gave signals that he was armed and dangerous. Without the slightest hesitation he meandered on his way . . . occasionally pausing to survey the surroundings and take note of any pending struggle that might arise. Our Creator has given him a natural manner of defense and provided him with enough insight that each day the journey is taken with caution. Maintaining an awareness of the ever present threats that may be all around.
He made it safely back to his den on the north fence line of the pasture without encountering any perils. Each day in life . . . we are apt to encounter all kinds of obstacles as well. Our Creator has equipped each of us as well with a defense mechanism. Thank goodness it does not include the lifting of one’s tail and the emitting of a foul odor.
Instead each of us has been gifted with discernment . . . wisdom . . . knowledge . . . strength . . . courage and the ability to call on the Big Man upstairs when we do not know what to do.
Approach each day with caution and use the gifts you have been given. Although you may encounter obstacles or danger . . . you can overcome!
Just thinking . . . PBR
“A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions.
The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.”
